On Tuesday, May 7th, EdVenture hosted an evening to celebrate teachers as part of its series of monthly STEM Conversations: Making Connections, events. Tickets were free with online registration and we sold out in one day with over three hundred registrants. EdVenture, with support from the South Carolina Mathematics and Science Partnership grant, is currently conducting its eighth year of Hands-On, Minds-On! (HMO) Institute for Teachers. The Hands-On, Minds-On! experience offers elementary classroom teachers professional development designed to build their confidence about science and mathematics and cultivate their students’ curiosity, while providing tools for understanding the concepts of curriculum integration.
This year, EdVenture will host a series of monthly STEM Conversations: Making Connections, designed to engage participants in an exciting conversation regarding the direction of education in South Carolina. Participants will be able to choose from several opportunities to customize their professional growth.
